How the data was built.
Every channel in this database was sampled in April 2026. Subscriber counts and upload patterns come from the public YouTube API. Revenue ranges combine niche CPM data with public view counts to produce a low-and-high estimate. Ranges are wide on purpose: they reflect uncertainty in actual ad revenue and hidden monetization streams (newsletters, courses, sponsorships, licensing).
- Channel qualification. 50 active faceless channels selected. A channel made the list only if it operated at scale (50K+ subscribers) and used a clearly faceless production format.
- Transcript extraction. 233 recent videos transcribed across the 50 channels. Hook patterns, title formulas, retention devices, and CTA structures pulled from the transcripts.
- Thumbnail analysis. 934 thumbnails passed through a vision model to extract design grammar (palette, text density, subject treatment).
- Profile assembly. Each channel got a 1,200–1,500 word profile covering format, cadence, scripts, retention, monetization, revenue estimate, and verdict. The fields above are extracted from those profiles.
Sample window: April 2026. We refresh the data quarterly; channels that go dormant will be flagged in the table.
Bonus: the patterns doc
Free 12-page PDF: 20 hook patterns, 15 title formulas, 10 thumbnail patterns extracted from all 50 channels. We email it to you.
